Second Session Ellbogen Institute

October 3, 2011 § Leave a comment

The second session of the Ellbogen Foundation Leadership and Advocacy Institute is in its first day today. The institute features a diverse group of individuals from across the state of Wyoming. We will come together for a total of four sessions throughout the course of the year.

The Ellbogen Foundation Leadership and Advocacy Institute is designed to develop the knowledge and skills of individuals active in the education community to effectively understand and articulate the complex challenges associated with the education of all children. The goal of the institute is to develop leaders who can analyze, design, and implement innovative solutions to the barriers that limit student achievement.

Each session includes opportunities to explore our individual leadership styles and further develop them, while learning more about the governance structure that supports education in the state of Wyoming. In the last session I particularly enjoyed hearing from legislators who told us about upcoming issues and shared some of their views.

I look forward to more interesting information and seeing our group grow in capacity and support.
